Explanation

「オクターブが届かない奏者のための雰囲気の良い曲はないだろうか？」との思いから自作した小曲集「季節と情景のスケッチ」からの一曲です。

名前から想像できるとおり、沖縄の常夏のビーチを連想し作曲しました。実は私自身は沖縄県に行ったことはなく、副題にある水納ビーチは実在するものの、Googleの画像検索でみかけたビーチの名前を使った・・・という、あまり夢のないバックグラウンドがございます。

曲は非常にリズミカルであり、かなり適切にリズムをとらなければうまく左右の手が合わないでしょう。主題のメロディは変則的な5音音階をつかい、雰囲気を琉球風味に仕立てました。オクターブの重音は使っていないとはいえ、応用されたテクニックを多々使うためやや練習に努力が必要です。
